STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Lucy Ann "LuAnn" Courtney Harris
of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on December 9, 2018,
two days before her 82nd birthday, after a courageous
battle with MSA (multiple system atrophy).
LuAnn was born in Rochester, New York.
LuAnn is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth James
Hopple.
She is survived by her husband, Donald M. Harris; and
her daughters, Laura Ann Hopple (Patrick) Olson,
Maryanne Michelle Harris; and sons, Donald Mark (Teresa)
Harris and Andrew MacLeod (Kim) Harris; and
grandchildren, Kayla Harris, Alexander Harris, Sylvie
Harris, Linnea Harris, Raegen Harris, Kelsey
Corcoran-Harris; and a host of Hopple and Harris
relatives and friends.
After graduating from East Rochester High School, she
attended Bowling Green State University, receiving a
Bachelor of Arts in education, and
Ohio State University, receiving a master's in deaf
education.
LuAnn was a contributing member of Delta Gamma (Beta Mu
Chapter) Sorority.
LuAnn was a delight who made friends easily, was a
loving mother and a devoted wife, who also traipsed all
over the country and Panama with her military husband.
In lieu of flowers, please make remembrances in LuAnn's

your favorite charity.
A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful care of Home
Instead and Kindred Hospice for their aid and assistance
during this difficult time.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date
at White Haven Memorial Park in Pittsford, New York.
